Meet William.

William is a 3ish year old husky/shepherd mix that was picked up as a stray. He spent a year in the shelter and after meeting this guy, we can’t understand why! Rescued from the shelter: March 29, 2024

William is looking for his adventure buddy! He is great with all dogs and once he’s comfortable with new people, he’s a playful guy that will melt your heart. Ask anyone that’s met him! He’s not your typical high strung husky, much calmer and has more of the sidekick mentality of the shepherd. He has been excelling at refining his basic obedience and leash manners, and crate training. He does great in pack settings, enjoys hanging out at a coffee stops, adventures through shopping centers and trips to the beach.

William would do great in a home with other dogs or just his human companions. He isn’t great with cats but in the right household, the dynamic would work. He loves to be outside or just relaxing by your side next to the couch. Keep in mind he does shed a lot, so grooming regularly is a must.

Meet Daisy.

Daisy is a 1 year old bully mix that was surrendered to us back in February. She did get adopted out and unfortunately found her way back to us when the adopter wasn’t able to care for her anymore.

Daisy has come a long way since her journey with us began, initially she was very skittish and terrified of new people and new environments. Since then she has come out of her shell, she’s extremely playful and affectionate, she gets along great with other dogs and has zero issues with cats or smaller animals.

An ideal adopter for Daisy would be someone who enjoys a somewhat active couch potato, she enjoys hanging around the house chewing a benebone and does get the occasional zooms. She is fully vaccinated and microchipped but is waiting to be spayed as the wait list is quite long. As part of her adoption she would need to be spayed.

Meet Skye.

This smart, sweet, loving girl is a ball of energy who also has the ability to be incredibly reserved and chill once she is comfortable. This is what her foster mom has to say about her:

She is house trained, crate trained and much less vocal than your typical husky.  She is very good on walks and does not pull. She is very social and great on pack walks. Skye knows: “sit”, “stay”, ”go to bed”, “lay down”, “leave it”, “heel” and she understands the command “Fix it” if her leash is under her leg. She gets VERY excited by other dogs, but has calmed immensely since being spayed in January 2024. Skye loves to play, however if you have a older, smaller dog that tends not to get along with new dogs, if you are not able to make the time to train your smaller dog, it may not be the best fit.

My name is Lena and Skye was surrendered to me malnourished, severely underweight and unfortunately may have been abused for breeding purposes. She was going to be surrendered to the pound by her previous owner who saved her due to her landlord rescinding her right to own a dog for protection. Skye was going to be euthanized per the pound and I could not let that happen. I have been rehabbing her on my own since September of 2023 and giving her love, but now she is ready for her furever home. She is 52 pounds of muscle, has no allergies and as long as you establish who is boss, she rarely gives any pushback, just obedience and love.

A write up from his rescue:

When we met Buster, our first thought was, "We need to help this dog." You see, he had been hit by a car and brought to the shelter by a good Samaritan.

Our second thought was, "What a special boy!"

We rescued Buster and paid for surgeries to fix injuries to his front legs. Today, Buster's doing great! He hobbles along fine, plays with his foster brother, and entertains himself - and he does it all with a SMILE!

Buster is a Zen Buddha. He is quiet and friendly with big humans, kiddos, and dogs. (He likes to chase cats.) He is house-trained and crate-trained. Buster would do well in any home, be it a family with kids or a retired couple who'd enjoy a low-energy constant companion.
